Valley of Fire is such an amazing place and so close to Las Vegas. This state park is only 50 miles northeast of LV, with the most amazing rock formations that cover nearly 46,000 acres. The park derives its name from the red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed 150 million years ago.
Valley of Fire is a very popular location to shoot movies, television shows, music videos, and commercials. Due to the amazing rock formations, and how close the park is to LV. A few of the many productions that have been shot in Valley of Fire:

This was a really fun day exploring out there. My friend who does a lot of the exploring with me, Jolyn Kellogg, and I had a great day at Valley of Fire.
